The goal of Itfootz Tax Software (ITS) is to provide open source, multi-platform corporate income and premium tax software. The system is distributed free of charge under the GNU General Public License.

In addition to providing traditional tax compliance software, Itfootz also includes a system for building, updating, testing and documenting the tax forms it uses. This system is currently being used to construct all the Income and Premium tax forms.

Itfootz controls the quality of it's tax forms through the extensive use of Test Cases. Each form has a series of tests it must pass to ensure it's accuracy and completeness. See the Form 1120 Project for an example. More complex, multiple form, tax scenarios are tested using the Sample Projects.

Itfootz Tax Software can also be used to build customized tax systems for larger companies. Tax data can be imported from excel or taken directly out of databases. All Itfootz functionality can be accessed via a Java API. Go to the Developer's Section for more info.

Getting Started

You can start using the software now by following the Introduction to Itfootz Tax Software tutorial. The tutorial takes about 5 minutes to complete. It gives an overview of the system, covers installation and licensing and then gets you started using the software.
